Our Cement Pond

Here is a shot of our new cement pond. It amazes me how clear the water is in there. No progress today since it poured last night. The area around the house is fine, but where they've dug all the way to the clay, you just sink into red oblivian if you try to get near the site. I don't think the water will ever have a chance to evaporate. When it is almost gone we always get more rain. Oh well, God is in the rain. As you can see, most of the front wall is complete, all of the driveway side is complete, and about half the field side is done. The walls are HUGE so no one should complain of "being in a cave" in our basement.

By popular request, here is a close rendering of what the finished home will look like. The garage area will look a little different due to modifications. Also, we're shooting for no porch railing and there won't be a chimney. You'll have to come visit.
